DFW Texans make their decision

DFW Texans

North Richland Hills, TX -The DFW Texans releasesd an official statement stating that they have promoted Offensive Coordinator Earl Rose to be their new head football coach effective immediately.

When deciding on a coach, President of Athletics Dautrel Manos had this to say about the decision:

“With Rose, we not only have a head coach, but one with a history of success. he will be taking over a program with a strong nucleus at the beginning. We are excited to watch Coach Rose take over a very well-positioned program and elevate it to the next level.”

Colorado is an Ice-Breaker for the Allen Wranglers

Allen Wranglers

Allen Wranglers

Allen Wranglers, Allen, TX — The Colorado Ice handed the Wranglers their first loss of the season in the 3rd of Allen’s 4 straight road games. It was an offensive battle from start to finish as the Ice came out firing and went up 16-3 in the 1st quarter. The Wranglers battled back in the 2nd quarter with 4 touchdowns and 4 extra point by David Pino (who totalled 12 points on the night).

QB Ben Sankey went 25 of 39 in 4 quarters, utilizing a full offensive roster. He spread the ball to 6 different receivers for a total of 243 yards. Darius Fudge led the run game with 56 yards and 2 touchdowns, and was also the leading receiver with 6 receptions for 67 yards.

All in all the offense totalled 301 yards to Colorado’s 243, but the penalties took their toll. Allen lost 115 yards to 10 penalties throughout the game and turned the ball over twice in critical moments with 2 fumbles in the red zone.

The second half was a battle of possession with the Wranglers continuously coming within 6 and the Ice answering at every chance. Penalties slowed the defense as well as Travonti Johnson’s interception was offset by three different flags.

The Wranglers continued fighting to the buzzer, taking the score to 55-61 with a T.O. (Terrell Owens) touchdown at 31 seconds left in regulation, but the last possession belonged to the Ice.

The Wranglers are on the road again this Saturday against the Wichita Wild, but they return home March 31st to face the Nebraska Danger.

Headhunters

Savage Headhunters

We want to post your scores, and we will spend time searching for the scores.  For example, last Saturday night, February 25, 2012, I spend time searching for scores of local teams via Twitter, Facebook and through deependmedia.net.

Scoreboard

As a result, we were able to display scores that night that were available on Sunday morning.  Time is of the essence and we want to be the top source for all scores in the DFW area.

Therefore, we need your help to deliver scores. Below, I have listed the many different ways you can get us the scores.

1. Twitter- We monitor our twitter account, especially on Saturday night. You can send a tweet to us (@dfwfootball or @chaserader) which will help us compile scores.  Further, if you want, you can use the hashtag #dfwfootballscores.

2.  Facebook-Many of you will update your Facebook pages or profiles.  Simply send us the score or alert us through Facebook as well.  If you haven’t already, go ahead and like our page Facebook.com/dfwfootball.

3. Email-Simply send us a your scores via email to info@dfwfootball.net.  You can send it, or have somebody to send it, using your iPhone or smartphone after your game.

4. Pictures-Send us pictures too.  Give credit to the photographer, etc., and we may use the pic in the score updates along with the name of the person who took the photo.
