Cowboys are blowing chances

Well, even though it seems to have become a fixture in this year’s arsenal, I still haven’t quite gotten used to this ‘cardiac’ thing. I’m sure most of you think the same. It is especially irksome when it ends up in a loss.

This is, of course, is what we just witnessed this past weekend as the Giants came back to beat the Cowboys 37-34. But, unlike the last loss, I have less people to blame for this debacle.

The defense is what cost us this time, and they will even readily admit so. You could say that a smidgen of guilt belongs to the kicking team as they allowed a block late, but I prefer to let it slide seeing as how it shouldn’t have come down to that anyway.

Mr. Romo, well done sir. You shined and had an excellent game, as did the rest of the offense. We had the G-Men dead to rights and then……well, I really don’t want to talk about it as I would like to refrain from incurring another ulcer.

All i know now is that the Cowboys cannot afford to lose from here on out, starting this weekend with Tampa, then with Philly, and of course ending the year with the Giants.

The Giants could make it alot easier by losing a game or two, but we can’t bank on that. Our account is too tapped.

Making matters worse is the loss of DeMarco Murray. Sammy Morris was signed to spell Felix Jones but that isn’t too comforting (no offense Sammy).

Do I still have hope for this year? Of course, this is ‘me’ we’re talking about. Is it close to the edge? Once again, of course, and the ‘Boys had better take care of business if they are to keep from falling off that edge.

My game ball this week goes to Tony Romo as he had an excellent game throwing for over 300 yards, 4 touchdowns, and NO interceptions.

Does anyone notice now that our Mr. Romo has a passer rating that is now over 100?!

And, even though he is still in fourth in the passer ratings (not too shabby), he is very close to Tom Brady and Drew Brees and could potentially catch them in this department.

But, as we all can probably agree, we’ll take more wins regardless.

Don’t give up on this team yet folks.

It ain’t over til the fat lady sings as they say and hopefully we won’t be having a concert any time soon.
