Dallas Diamonds Announce All-Stars

July 23, 2010, Dallas, TX–The Dallas Diamonds are proud to announce eleven electrets’ to the 2010 All Star game this July in Round Rock, Texas.

Alberta Fitcheard-Brydson, Jessica Springer, Danilynn Welniak, Jennifer Welter and Coach Karen Seimears all made first team selections.

Alberta Fitcheard-Brydson has been a Diamond since 2003 and has been selected as an All Star every season that she has taken the field. She has also been the recipient of various Diamonds awards including Defensive MVP, and Special Teams MVP.

Jessica Springer returns to the All Star spotlight for the 8th time in her career. Since joining the Diamonds she has amassed three league MVP titles and was voted team MVP in all but one season.

Danilynn Welniak, one of the Diamonds go-to players since joining the team in 2007 plays wide receiver, running back, corner and special teams. She will be making her 1st trip to the All Star game this year as an honoree.

Jennifer Welter a consistent playmaker for the Diamonds on defense & special teams for the past 9 seasons has been elected to the All Star team every year since our inclusion. She is the reigning Diamonds Special Teams MVP, causing much havoc whenever the ball is kicked off.

Karen Seimears is now a four time Pro Bowl honoree (two as a player and two as a coach) and called plays as offensive coordinator for the Diamonds this season.

Alternates, Monica Foster, Angelica Grayson, Tiffany Meyer, Val Murwaka,Umeeki Webb and Emily Tidwell Williams will also represent the purple and black in Round Rock.

The Diamonds participated in the All-Star game on July 25th.
