In the Outlaws-Seminoles game, Seminole player Steve Hickman passed away due to a heart condition exascerbated by ingesting two energy drinks and a “5 hour energy shot” . These ephedra based supplements have taken lives before and the NMLF believes that something should be done to regulate or eliminate these products from consumer access. How many more athletes have to die for this to be taken seriously?
